The fuel scarcity and poor electricity affected my work life in more ways than I could ever imagine.
Having to wait in queues for hours to buy fuel so I can charge my devices was a major headache. The light situation in my area progressed from bad to worse; we barely had light for most days.
On the days when they didn’t flash the light and I couldn’t buy fuel, the heat was terrible.
Some days, I would wake up in a pool of sweat, making me renew my hate for the system in this country. The other area where I was affected by the scarcity is the hike in transport fare.
Because the transporters spend so much buying fuel from the black market, we, the masses had to make up for it by paying exorbitant fares.
In short, the fuel scarcity really hit me hard. From the heat to the increase in transport costs, it was tough all round.
