The past one year has been…. We have 3 more years to go- Rose
On today’s edition of PoliZ Life, Rose shares her story of struggle due to the challenges she’s faced during the last year under the current administration.
With PoliZ Life, we highlight stories like these to show how policy and government decisions impact the everyday lives of Nigerian youths.
Nigeria has been a bit difficult under the leadership of President Bola Tinubu.
Right from the removal of fuel subsidy to the increase in the price of foodstuff known to man.
He promised to use the money gotten from the subsidy removal to strengthen other sectors of the country, he did not. Rather we heard they were planning to buy cars worth millions of naira for members of the house of Assembly, and later on we heard they were about to buy a yacht for the president.
Soon after, universities began increasing their tuition fee by over 150% without care for those who have to foot their bills themselves.
I take care of my feeding, school expenses, and daily allowance in school myself and I have lost weight time and again, falling ill due to poor nutrition. Used to go to the market with 20k before to restock my foodstuff but now it can’t fill up a black sack bag.
We still have 3 years to go and no improvement in sight.
Rose’s story reveals just how much effect the first year of this current administration has had on her and fellow Nigerians.
